Technical Background

The original rubber bushings in the gear linkage are designed for comfort and yield noticeably under load. While this provides some decoupling, it can also create a spongy shift feel.

Installation Note

Installation takes place in the gear selector area on the transmission. For this, the vehicle must be safely raised, as installation is done from underneath the vehicle. Depending on the model, underbody panels, heat shields, and brackets in the transmission area may need to be removed.

According to Whiteline, the specified installation time is approx. 1 hour. Installation is classified as easy, provided suitable tools, a lift or safe jack stands, and appropriate technical understanding are available.

After installation, all loosened screw connections should be tightened to the manufacturer's specifications. Whiteline also recommends checking and retightening the screw connections after approx. 100 km.
