VERUS Engineering | Forged Clutch Fork with BattleGarage Throw-out Bearing | GT/GR86 BRZ I&II

We are finally offering the perfect upgrade for a well-known weak point in the clutch system. Especially when an upgraded clutch is installed in a GT86, BRZ, or GR86, when the car is used on the track, or when the FA20/FA24 engine is force-inducted, the forces exerted on the clutch fork and release bearing increase significantly. This is exactly where this package comes in.

For a stock engine that is driven normally in everyday conditions, this conversion is not strictly necessary. However, if the transmission has to be removed anyway, the clutch is being serviced, or there are already issues with the release bearing, this is a very sensible "while you're at it" upgrade.

As a Verus Engineering partner, we offer you the forged, reinforced clutch fork either individually or as a package including a release bearing. Optionally, you can also select the billet clutch pivot and the three matching Toyota OEM clips as consumables.

Battle Garage Release Bearing

The Battle Garage release bearing is the higher-quality alternative to the stock release bearing and was specifically developed for the 86/BRZ/GR86 platform. Instead of simply installing a standard bearing again, you get a fully sealed solution that is better protected against clutch dust, dirt, and stress. The release bearing is a known weak point, especially with upgraded clutches, track use, or higher mileage – so if the transmission is out anyway, this upgrade makes absolute sense.

The Battle Garage release bearing should also be compatible with common clutch kits such as the Competition Clutch Stage 2. For special aftermarket clutches or deviating pressure plates, compatibility should still be checked before installation.

• Problems are likely with South Bend and ACT due to differing pressure plate geometry
• Not compatible with Xclutch / Xtreme Clutch, as these should only be used with the release bearing included in the respective clutch kit.

Billet Clutch Pivot

The billet clutch pivot replaces the original clutch stud and fits the reinforced clutch fork perfectly. We recommend it, though it is not strictly necessary. Anyone looking to properly overhaul this area should include it right away.

Toyota OEM Clips

New in our package: The three matching Toyota OEM clips as consumables. Small parts, but exactly what you like to have on hand new during installation rather than having to reuse old clips.

Installation Note

The transmission must be removed for installation. Installation should therefore be performed by a specialist workshop or experienced mechanic.
