Ravenol | Engine oil DXG 5W30 |GT/GR86 & BRZ I/II

We're finally offering oils! Here you can purchase the perfect 5W30 oil for your Toyota. The Ravenol DXG is perfect for your FA20/FA24 engine! We don't want to start an oil debate here, though; that's been done to death elsewhere. In our opinion, the 5W30 is perfectly suited, and with Ravenol, we've found a reliable German partner.

Since it's an aftermarket 5W30 oil, it's not approved by Toyota/Subaru for warranty purposes! However, you're generally not allowed to bring your own oil there anyway, and certainly not 5W30... Everyone else can use this oil without any problems.

The FA20 engine (GT86 & BRZ I) has an oil capacity of 5.4l or 5.2l without a filter change.

The FA24 engine (GR86 & BRZ II) has an oil capacity of 5.0l or 4.8l without a filter change, according to the manual.

Please note that oil coolers and other modifications to the oil circuit may also affect the required oil quantity. Similarly, engines driven in a sporty manner usually benefit from a slight overfill (minimal, never excessive!) to ensure a little extra oil reserve in the pan during tight corners, preventing oil supply interruption and potential bearing damage. This is based purely on personal experience and is by no means a general recommendation!

Therefore, you can choose whether you only need 1 liter for refilling, whether 5 liters is sufficient, or whether you simply take the 6 liters (5+1) and have some extra to refill immediately.

RAVENOL DXG SAE 5W-30 is a PAO (Polyalphaolefin) based, fully synthetic engine oil with special USVO® and proven CleanSynto® technology for passenger car gasoline engines with and without turbocharging and direct injection.

RAVENOL DXG SAE 5W-30 was developed using the proven formulation of trinuclear molybdenum and OFM (Organic Friction Modifiers). A highly polar Group V base oil, which exhibits good compatibility with the PAO used, was incorporated as an additional component in this formulation.

Through the USVO® Technology We achieve extremely high viscosity stability. We avoid the disadvantages of polymeric viscosity improvers while simultaneously leveraging their advantages. This improves engine protection and performance, optimizes engine cleanliness, and extends oil change intervals. USVO® technology ensures that the product exhibits no shear loss throughout the entire oil change interval and is extremely oxidation-stable. This unique technology helps supply the engine parts requiring lubrication with oil more quickly, thereby minimizing friction and keeping the engine clean and efficient.

RAVENOL DXG SAE 5W-30, thanks to its new formulation, achieves a reliable lubricating film even at very high operating temperatures and protects against corrosion and oil loss due to evaporation (oxidation) or coking. Its excellent cold-start properties ensure optimal lubrication during the cold-start phase. Significant fuel savings, combined with reduced emissions, contribute to environmental protection.

RAVENOL DXG SAE 5W-30 helps prevent premature fuel ignition. LSPI (Low Speed ​​Pre-Ignition) prevents engine damage.

In cooperation with Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH, we ensure proper disposal. You can return your used oil and original Ravenol canisters (in accordance with Section 8 of the German Packaging Ordinance) to the following address upon presentation of your sales invoice:
