Ravenol | Gear oil (manual transmission and rear axle/differential transmission) | GT/GR86 & BRZ I/II

Here we offer you a selection of gear oils. These are all suitable for the Toyubaru, depending on the variant and intended use.

Generally, refilling new oil under the car is always a bit awkward, so we rely on Ravenol's small 1-liter containers with an integrated hose, which allow for the most comfortable refilling possible. In principle, you should always use a new seal, especially when draining. Then simply fill up to the edge of the filler plug.

Manual Transmission Oil

Oil quantity Toyubaru (all generations) - 2.2l -> 3 liters for a complete change

- Standard - RAVENOL MTF-3 SAE 75W

is a fully synthetic low-friction transmission oil for special manual transmissions. It is formulated based on synthetic base oils and a specially coordinated additive package. This exceeds current practical requirements.

RAVENOL MTF-3 SAE 75W is ideally suited for very high mechanical and thermal loads on manual transmission oils, even with extended oil change intervals. API GL-4

- Racing - RAVENOL RGE Racing Gear Oil Eco SAE 75W-140 LS

RAVENOL Racing Gear Oil Eco SAE 75W-140 is a modern, fully synthetic hypoid gear oil of performance class API GL-5 +LS for manual transmissions in many common motor vehicles. It is suitable for heavily loaded hypoid axle drives and multi-plate clutches in vehicles and construction machinery where "Limited Slip" properties are also required.

RAVENOL Racing Gear Oil Eco SAE 75W140 is a USDA certified organic product based on plant-based base oils and a specially coordinated additive package. This exceeds current practical requirements.

It was developed to offer both environmental and performance advantages over conventional oils.

Application notes:

RAVENOL Racing Gear Oil Eco SAE 75W-140 is a high-performance gear oil for use in manual transmissions of many common motor vehicles. It is also intended for use in hypoid-geared transmissions in vehicles and construction machinery. Particularly suitable for applications where "Limited Slip" (LS) properties, such as in multi-plate limited-slip differentials, are required. Observe manufacturer's specifications! API GL-5 LS

Differential Gear Oil:

Oil quantity for all is 1.15l -> 2-liter container for a complete oil change

• For GT86 Pure / BRZ I simple version Diff (easiest distinguishing feature is manual air conditioning ex-factory instead of automatic air conditioning) -> A "simpler" differential is installed here WITHOUT Limited Slip, and therefore you need a different oil, namely: RAVENOL MTF-1 SAE 75W-85. This meets API GL-4 & API GL-5.
• For all other "normally equipped" and thus 95% of German vehicles, we have RAVENOL DGL SAE 75W-85 GL-5 LS in our range. Thanks to the LS (Limited Slip) additive, it is specially designed for our differentials.

  RAVENOL DGL SAE 75W-85 GL-5 LS is a fully synthetic hypoid gear oil of performance class API GL-5 for transfer cases and differentials with and without limited slip in motor vehicles. It is formulated based on PAO and a specially coordinated additive package. This exceeds current practical requirements.

  RAVENOL DGL SAE 75W85 GL-5 LS is excellently matched to the increased demands on gear oils to ensure proper functioning of the transmissions. Particularly suitable for applications where "Limited Slip" (LS) properties are required. API GL-5 + LS (Limited Slip), MIL-L-2105D

• We also have the RAVENOL Racing Gear Oil Eco SAE 75W140 again for tougher conditions, which is the same as the manual transmission oil above, meaning that both gear oils can even be changed with a total of 4 liters. For this, please simply add the 2-liter variant to your shopping cart twice. You will still receive 4x 1L containers.

We will take back your used oil in the quantity purchased from us and without admixture of foreign substances free of charge. In cooperation with Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH, we ensure proper disposal. You can drop off your used oil and original Ravenol canisters (in accordance with § 8 Verpackungsordnung) upon presentation of our sales invoice at the following address:
