The steering wheel still has the original core and you continue to use the original airbag, cruise control lever, etc. This means the steering wheel is registrable or registration-free (a bit of a gray area definition-wise – check with your inspector if in doubt). It's like re-upholstering with your normal saddler – just with noble carbon instead of unsightly artificial leather ;)

Transparency note: We do not re-upholster original steering wheels in Germany; that would not be feasible at these prices and in this volume. We have found a reliable Asian manufacturer who truly custom-makes the steering wheels to our specifications. Hence, the longer delivery time for individual requests – we always have to collect orders, coordinate them, and then have them shipped. In return, we can offer you a very fair price for excellent quality.
