AST | Roll bar / cage | GR86 & BRZ II

Maximum safety for your Toyubaru! With AST rollcages, you can secure the necessary safety for your motorsport activities. For years, AST has effectively been the go-to solution in motorsport for anyone who doesn't have their own cage builder. They are also very popular for tourist drives at the Nürburgring or Hockenheimring.

We offer you the entire AST product range, from rear roll bars and full cages to weld-in cells. For the GR86/BRZ, there aren't many design options. All cages attach to the rear strut mounts and are available for configurations with or without the headliner. Additionally, the rear seat bench must be removed! The counterplates should also be welded to the car to ensure maximum safety.

All AST cages are supplied unpainted as a standard! We can offer you powder coating in RAL colors upon request; additional costs will apply.

The variants are first divided into Motorsport and Trackday. Trackday variants are designed for occasional use and do not come with any paperwork. The Motorsport variants are manufactured according to FIA Appendix J and possess this certification. This assists with registration and approval for motorsport.

Trackday models are further divided into Rear Cage (ends behind the seats) and Full Cage (up to the A-pillar). All of these are removable (except for the holes for the counterplates in the bodywork).

For motorsport, the most popular option is the V4 bolt-in solution. This is bolted in place; otherwise, we also offer weld-in cells.

Trackday Rear Cage V1/V2 (difference: X-gusset plate behind the seats):

AST Removable Rear Cage half-rollcage with 4 attachment points on the body, bolted to 4 reinforcement plates welded to the car. These reinforcement plates are made of 3 mm thick steel and are specially designed and manufactured for each car to achieve maximum safety and a perfect fit on the chassis. The roll cage is supplied unpainted as a welded kit and consists of a 45 mm diameter main hoop made of E355 steel. The rest of the structure consists of 40 mm thick E355 steel. The structure is divided into several sections to allow for easier assembly in the vehicle.

Thanks to our laser scanner technology, we guarantee an accurate 3D design that fits your vehicle perfectly. The price of this item includes:

These structures are designed for use on public roads. Check your country's legislation before purchasing to see if it is possible to legally install one of these structures.

Trackday Full Cage V2/V3 (Difference: X-gusset plate behind the seats):

Compared to the Rear Cages, these cages are attached at 6 points (with an additional front part reaching the A-pillar). Furthermore, the Full Cages are also manufactured according to FIA Appendix J.

Motorsport V4 Bolt-in:

AST Bolt-in V4 roll cage with 6 attachment points on the body, bolted to 6 reinforcement plates welded to the body. These reinforcement plates are made of 3 mm thick steel and are specially designed and manufactured for each vehicle to achieve maximum safety and a perfect fit on the chassis.

The roll cage is welded and supplied unpainted and consists of a 45 mm diameter main hoop made of E355 steel. The rest of the structure consists of 40 mm thick E355 steel. The structure is divided into several sections to allow for easier assembly in the vehicle. This structure has been designed and built in accordance with FIA Appendix J. Please check with your association/sports organization regarding the minimum safety requirements applicable to your vehicle, version, engine, and the type of test and/or championship, even though this roll cage fits all engine models.

These structures require modifications and/or removal of internal vehicle elements (dashboard, door panels, upholstery, rear seats...). For the V4, you must modify the dashboard and will likely need to mount additional mirrors, as the dual A-pillar bracing will restrict your view of the standard mirror.
